In Memory of Ron Seibel

GCSANC is saddened to share the passing of Ron Seibel, former golf course superintendent, sales representative for Country Club Sales and Sierra Pacific Turf Supply, and more recently in Southern California for Standard Golf Company. He also handled distributor sales for golf course equipment and turf supplies at Far West Equipment.

Prior to his years in sales, Ron served as superintendent at the Arizona Biltmore (Phoenix) and Incline Village GC (Lake Tahoe).

GCSANC shares our condolences with Ron’s friends, family and colleagues.

Lakeside Clubhouse Dress Code

  • No jeans on the property
  • No hats worn in the Clubhouse
  • No flip flops/sandals on the property
  • Phone calls must be made outside of the clubhouse

Golf Attire Men and Boys: Long trousers must be neat in appearance. Plus Fours are permitted. Golf shorts or Bermuda style shorts must be neat in appearance and must be mid-thigh or longer. Cargo shorts are not allowed. Collared shirts, short and long-sleeved mock turtleneck shirts must be tucked in. Other non- collared shirts are not permitted. Caps or visors must be worn bill forward. Shoes appropriate for golf must be worn. Denim is not allowed. Shoes with metal spikes are not allowed on the Main Floor of the Lakeside Clubhouse at any time

Women and Girls: Long trousers and capri pants must be neat in appearance. Golf shorts, skorts, and dresses must be neat in appearance and must be mid-thigh or longer. Leggings or yoga pants are only allowed under skirts and dresses. Cargo shorts are not allowed. Collared, crew, short and long-sleeved mock turtleneck shirts are permitted and may be untucked if they are conservatively tailored. Halter-tops, racer backs, bare midriffs and non-hemmed shirts of any type are not allowed. Caps or visors must be worn bill forward. Shoes appropriate for golf must be worn. Denim is not allowed.

2024 GCSANC Scholarship Applications!

Our 2024 Scholarship Applications are open!

We offer two distinct scholarships to help aspiring individuals achieve their educational goals.

Dr. M. Ali Harivandi Scholarship: This scholarship, formerly known as the “Industry Scholarship,” is designed for high school seniors, college students, and current members of the golf industry. It supports those who are pursuing continuing education at accredited institutions and are aiming for careers as golf course superintendents or in closely related fields within the golf industry.

Legacy Scholarship: This scholarship is exclusively available to immediate family members of GCSANC members in good standing. It aims to support those pursuing education at postsecondary institutions.

Intern Housing Assistance Available!

GCSANC is offering rental housing assistance of up to $1,000 per month for up to four months to interns at GCSANC member courses (pending funds availability). GCSANC will confirm the internship status with the course superintendent prior to awarding funds.


Important: In order to familiarize grant recipients with the GCSANC community, recipients will be expected to:

• Attend one GCSANC event during their internship (event dates to be provided to grant recipients when available)

• Submit one article for publication in GCSANC magazine and/or on GCSANC website about their experiences as an Intern

Final intern assistance payment will be withheld pending satisfaction of two conditions above. If no GCSANC events are scheduled during the recipient’s internship, they will not be held responsible for filling the first requirement.

Intern assistance funds will be made payable to the intern’s landlord and will be mailed to the recipient in monthly installments (mailed by the 25th of each month for receipt by the 1st of the following month).
